White Barn Meadows Alpacas -

White Barn Meadows Farm has been in existence for over a hundred years. When Nancy Durst and her husband Scott purchased the 13 acre property in Buxton, Maine in 2002, they decided to keep male gelding Alpacas both for sale and for their fiber. Having fallen in love with these wonderful animals at Alpaca open farm days in the state, they purchased four geldings and set about caring for them.

Gelding Alpaca males are often overlooked by potential Alpaca buyers looking for breeding stock. For those interested in fiber however, it should be noted that their fiber is of the highest quality and compares favorably to cashmere in it's softness and warmth. As Nancy and Scott took on new animals, they realized that there was a need for one farm in the region to focus solely upon selling these amazing fiber males and helping first time buyers set up their farms.

We were asked to give whitebarmmeadows.com a web presence that reflected the care that Nancy and Scott put into their farm and provide an informative outlet abpout Alpaca care as well as a place to introduce animals for sale for potential Alpaca owners.

The project contained a strong content management directive and was developed with 'Adobe Contribute' integration for maximum flexibility in administration by the client.
